We’re drag racing a Maserati GT2 Stradale against a Lamborghini Huracan STO over the 1/4-mile and 1/2-mile. They’ll also compete in a 100mph brake test.
It’s time for two track-focused supercars to go head-to-head!
We’ve got Mat in the Maserati GT2 Stradale, and he’s lining up against a Lamborghini Huracan STO! The two are fairly evenly matched, but which will come out on top over the quarter-mile? Let’s take a closer look at the contenders…
The Maserati is powered by a 3-litre twin-turbo V6, and this produces 640hp and 720Nm. This power is sent to the rear wheels only via a dual-clutch gearbox, and it weighs in at 1,475kg.
Then we come to the Lambo. It’s equipped with a 5.2-litre naturally-aspirated V10, and this produces 640hp and 565Nm. It also has a dual-clutch gearbox sending power to the rear wheels only, but it’s slightly lighter than the Maserati, tipping the scales at 1,436kg.
So the two have the same level of horsepower, but the Lambo is lighter - will that prove decisive? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!
