We’re drag racing a tuned Nissan GT-R against a tuned Toyota Supra across the quarter-mile & half-mile. We’ll also be comparing them in a brake test from 100mph.
It’s time for an epic JDM showdown!
We’ve got our hands on a Toyota Supra, and it’s going up against a Nissan GT-R… But they’ve both been tuned up to their eyeballs!
So let’s take a closer look at the stats…
Starting with the Supra, it rolls up equipped with a 3-litre straight-six. However, this iteration is a fully built engine, and the car comes with a load of additional items, such as a turbo kit and a new gearbox. All of this combined leads to the ability to produce 1,070hp and 1,200Nm! What’s more, this is the first A90 Supra in the world to come with four wheel drive! It weighs in at 1,590kg, and all in it’s worth around £135,000.
Then we come to the GT-R. It also has a fully built engine, and this works to deliver 1,000hp and 1,090Nm! This power is sent to all four wheels, and it’s the heavier of the two cars, tipping the scales at 1,740kg. It has an almost identical value to the GT-R, though, with a price tag of £130,000.
So how will this one play out - will both of these cars be able to make it to the end of the runway?! Will it be a clean sweep for the more powerful Supra?! Or could the GT-R snatch it?! There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!
