The Maybach S-Class is Back — More Luxury, V8 or V12!

The new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Facelift is here — and this isn’t just an update… it’s a complete elevation of what #luxury means. Not long ago, we saw the facelifted S-Class. Still the benchmark. Still the world’s best luxury saloon. But even that car has a ceiling… and this is what sits above it: the new #Maybach S-Class — S Class, but beyond.

And what’s interesting this time is just how far Mercedes has gone. Because this isn’t a light refresh. This is one of the most comprehensive Maybach updates we’ve seen — visually, technically, and inside the cabin.

The design alone tells the story. More presence, more drama, more theatre. The grille is larger, illuminated, and now carries a level of detail and identity that pushes it closer to those Vision concepts we’ve seen in recent years. Even the headlights now feature rose gold accents and double-star signatures — small details, but they completely change how the car feels at night.

And that’s really the theme here: everything has been taken further.

Under the bonnet, the engine lineup remains exactly what you’d expect at this level — but refined and evolved. A V8 with mild hybrid support delivering over 600 horsepower, a plug-in hybrid six-cylinder offering serious efficiency with real electric range, and in selected markets, the V12 remains — still the ultimate expression of effortless performance. All paired with the dedicated Maybach driving mode and extreme levels of insulation to isolate the cabin from the outside world.

Inside is where things take another step. The entire architecture has been reworked to create a more cocooned, almost concept-car-like environment. New materials, new wood trims, and a level of craftsmanship that pushes even beyond the already exceptional S-Class. There’s now even a fully leather-free interior option — something we’ve never seen in a Maybach before — using advanced textiles and materials that still meet the same durability and luxury standards.

Then there’s MANUFAKTUR. This is where Maybach really separates itself. Hundreds of colours, bespoke leather combinations, and even unique finishes mean no two cars need to be the same. You’re not just buying a car here — you’re commissioning one.

And in this video, we’ve got two very different takes on that philosophy.

A traditional Maybach spec, showcasing the classic luxury approach — and the Night Series, which flips everything into a darker, more aggressive aesthetic with unique finishes, colours, and detailing.
