HIGHS
Many competent powertrains, sleek styling, luxurious cabin with comfortable front seats.

VERDICT
Most of the fire, fury, and rakish styling of its GT Coupe sibling in an ostensibly more sensible four-door package.
Overview
Are you enamored by the slinky and aggressive looks of the Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe but just can't justify dropping major coin on a two-door with a comically tiny rear seat? The 2025 Mercedes-AMG GT sedan has your back. While the coupe and sedan are technically second cousins (the GT sedan is based on the respectable E-class whereas the GT Coupe is related to the SL roadster), the GT four-door sedan's curves and fastback profile share more than just a passing resemblance with the GT coupes. The sedan's additional doors provide improved four-passenger functionality, though that rakish "four-door coupe" roofline takes a toll on rear-seat headroom. The GT is available in three flavors: GT43, GT53, and GT63. The 43 and 53 pack a silky and responsive turbocharged inline-six, while the 63 and range-topping 63 S pack a mighty twin-turbo V-8 good for 630 horsepower in peak trim. That's enough muscle to launch the GT63 S to 60 mph in 2.6 seconds. There's also a plug-in hybrid E Performance variant that claims an output of 831 ponies while also providing a few miles of pure electric driving. Regardless of powertrain, the Mercedes-AMG GT sedan fills a tiny void in the exclusive segment of luxury performance automobiles with the performance to match its pomp.
