Building a Beautiful Custom Electric Guitar | Sapele, Okoume, Redheart, Flamed Maple + P90s | Full Build
In this video, I take you through the full process of creating a custom set-neck electric guitar that brings together the natural beauty of exotic woods and fine handcrafted details.
This build features a carefully selected combination of woods — a sapele body and neck, okoume top and back, and a vibrant redheart fretboard, all accented with flamed maple binding and subtle maple pinstripes to create natural contrast and highlight the guitar’s elegant lines.
Throughout the build, I use a variety of techniques to bring out the best in these materials, from precise carving and binding work, to applying a finish that really makes the colors and grain come alive.
To give this guitar its voice, I’ve installed a set of classic Bareknuckle P90 pickups for that warm, punchy rock tone, paired with a comfortable 24.6” scale length for easy playability.
If you enjoy guitars that combine timeless craftsmanship with unique, natural wood aesthetics, this is one you won’t want to miss.
