It’s time for an America vs Germany drag race!
We’ve got Mat in the Tesla Cyberbeast, the most powerful iteration of the Cybertruck, and it’s going up against an Audi RSQ8 Performance! So will petrol win over electric? Let’s check out the stats.
Starting with the Audi, it’s powered by a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 that creates 640hp and 850Nm. This power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox, and the car weighs in at 2,275kg. As new, it costs around £123,000.
Then we have the Cybertruck. It’s powered by three electric motors, and these combine to create 845hp and 930Nm. This power is sent to all four wheels, and it weighs in at a colossal 3,104kg. With import charges added, it costs around £150,000 to drive the car on UK roads.
So the Tesla may be well up on power, but will the huge weight difference prove decisive? There’s only one way to find out for sure… LET’S RACE!
