We’ve got Mat in the latest edition of the BMW M4 Competition, and he’s going up against the Porsche Cayenne Turbo e-hybrid GT Package! The question is, can the BMW take down the more powerful Porsche? Let’s take a closer look.
The Porsche is powered by a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 coupled with an electric motor. Combined they produce 739hp and 950Nm, with this power sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox. It tips the scales at a hefty 2,495kg, and as new it costs £166,000.
The BMW is powered by a 3-litre twin-turbo straight-six, and this puts down 530hp and 650Nm. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed auto, and it weighs 1,775kg. As new, it costs £91,000.
