Hard Drive for Cheap! - WD My Book Shucking Tutorial
Hey everybody, in this video I tried shucking the WD My Book external hard drive with the purpose of using it as an internal drive, when I was looking at options to upgrade my old 6TB HDD I couldn't justify the cost of the OEM drive.
I've spent more time with the drive and I can say it's worth it, after testing I'm almost certain it is the exact same specs as the red drive.

Any idea if these are CMR or SMR drives.
Depends on the size but if it's 10TB or over it's CMR.
The 12TB Western Digital USB drives are DIFFERENT
